About Us:

The largest surgical group in Northern Nevada is Western Surgical Group (WSG), which has served Nevada for over 30 years. Western Surgical has more than 20 fellowship-trained surgeons make up our team, along with a group of devoted nurse practitioners and close to 80 devoted support personnel. WSG offers a wide range of general/laparoscopic/robotic surgery specialties, including bariatric, breast, colon, rectal, endocrine, oncologic, pediatric and thoracic. We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to lead revenue operations across our multi-specialty surgical practice. This role oversees the full revenue cycle — coding, authorizations, AR, collections, payment posting, payer relations, and reporting — and serves as the primary escalation point for complex billing and coverage issues.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage billing, coding, AR, analytics and authorization team of around 20
• Improve key metrics: collections, denial rate, AR days, charge lag
• Oversee payer contracting, fee schedule updates, and reimbursement analysis
• Monitor regulatory updates (NCCI edits, inpatient-only lists, MIPS)
• Translate data into executive-level reporting for leadership
• Optimize workflows within Athena and related systems

What We're Looking For

• 5–7+ years revenue cycle experience in a surgical or procedural practice
• 3+ years leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of surgical billing, modifiers, and payer guidelines
• Experience with contracting and reimbursement analysis preferred
• CPC and Athena experience strongly preferred
