Position Summary

Lahontan Golf Club is a high-end, private golf facility in Truckee, CA. Our goal is to provide our members and their guests with a world-class golf experience. This position is seasonal with part-time & full-time opportunities. Position is bestsuited for prompt and energetic people, who have a broad understanding of food and beverage operations and whose priority is to provide excellent service and member satisfaction.

Job Description

A Food and Beverage Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and quality standards while ensuring timely and efficient service. The ideal candidate possesses basic cooking skills, demonstrates promptness and reliability, and maintains exceptional organization and cleanliness in their work area. This role requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary team. Candidates must present themselves in a professional manner that positively contributes to and supports a collaborative team environment while adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time Seasonal/Temporary
Location: Truckee, CA

Duties and Responsibilities include the following- Other duties may be assigned:

  • Control breakfast, lunch, dinner lines
  • Remain organized and clean throughout all service periods
  • Strong interest and knowledge of different cuisines
  • Food prep, presentation and storage knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Remain flexible and available for cross training
  • Additional responsibilities will be required

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Will work with flames, sautéing, frying, boiling. Will work in a warm kitchen. Will use cleaners, sanitizers, all-purpose cleaners, grease cleaner and window cleaner. Will work with food processor, slicers and blenders.

Language

English (preferred)Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Education or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of line cooking experience desired, though willing to train the right candidate.

Truckee, CA 96161: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
