Schedule:
?? Hours: Salaried exempt, expected 50 hours per week
?? Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday (field-based)
? Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM typical; occasional 1:00 AM start for overnight pours
?? Occasional overnight concrete pours as required
Scope of Role:
This is a field-based Safety Manager position supporting commercial and industrial concrete construction projects throughout the Reno market. The role covers multiple active jobsites, including large-scale slab and data center construction projects. The Safety Manager works side-by-side with another Safety Manager and maintains a highly visible onsite presence with minimal office time. Established SOPs are already in place; the focus is on field execution, communication, and enforcement.
Qualifications:
? OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 required with minimum 5 years of experience
? Bilingual English/Spanish required (mandatory)
? Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
? Experience in commercial or industrial concrete construction preferred
? Preferred: 4-year degree and/or BCSP certification (minimum CHST strongly preferred)
? Strong communicator, not a "safety cop" approach
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide field safety oversight across multiple Reno-area concrete projects
• Conduct daily site walks, audits, and routine safety inspections
• Maintain visible presence with "eyes on crews" during active operations
• Enforce established safety policies and issue write-ups when necessary
• Support forming, finishing, tilt-up, cast-in-place, and high-performance slab operations
• Ensure strong communication between superintendents and management to prevent safety gaps
• Collaborate closely with fellow Safety Manager to maintain coverage and consistency
