Material Handler Compound

Maintains an orderly raw material and finished goods inventory to enable VEKA to provide a quality product/service to its customers. The shift for this position is 600 to 1800 Thur/Fri/Sat and every other Wed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining raw material flow to extrusion lines
• Responsible for screening compound before filling it into the hopper
• Takes daily inventory of raw materials used on shifts
• Recycles contaminated compound into Super Sacks
• Stages hoppers for backup material
• Responsible for good housekeeping of compound areas and mezzanine
• Inspects the forklifts daily before shift
• Follows safety guidelines while on forklift
• Other duties as assigned

• Mandatory forklift experience

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Organizational Relationship:

• Reports to Inventory Control Supervisor

Physical Requirements:

• Essential functions of this job are to perform a range of physical activities throughout the workday, including climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing and engaging in repetitive motions.
• An essential function of this job is to lift and or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly.
• Must be available with predictable and regular attendance onsite to perform the essential functions above under key functions whenever employee is scheduled to work
