Senior Director of Human Resources

The Senior Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing the HR strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This includes areas of talent acquisition, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee relations. The Sr. Director of HR provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders, and the board of directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Lead and manage all aspects of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and employee development. (you will not be recruiting in this role, but rather oversee the hiring plan)
• Oversee compensation and benefits planning, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
• Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by monitoring and implementing applicable HR policies and practices.
• Drive organizational development efforts, including succession planning, workforce planning, and change management.
• Create and implement employee engagement programs to maintain a positive workplace culture.
• Supervise and mentor HR team members, fostering professional development and high performance.
• Manage HR metrics and use data-driven insights to inform decisions.

Position Requirements, Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR role.
• HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
• Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
• Experience with HRIS systems and data analysis.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactically.
• High emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills.
• Candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.

Pay Range: $140K - $180K (DOE)
