Description:

Sierra Staffing Group is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor for an industry leading Transportation & Logistics company located in the Reno, NV area. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of the top employers in the market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates to ensure high performance, engagement, and accountability across all shifts
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control to meet customer SLAs and company KPIs
  • Drive productivity and efficiency through labor planning, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper system transactions within the WMS
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with transportation, customer service, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of client needs
  • Analyze performance metrics and prepare reports on productivity, quality, and service levels; implement corrective actions as needed
  • Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching to support skill development and career growth
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
  • Support a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a high-volume warehouse, distribution, or 3PL environment
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, and inventory management processes
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF technology
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and meet productivity goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on process improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
