We are seeking an experienced Safety Team Lead to support the development, implementation, and auditing of safety programsto ensure regulatory compliance across multiple locations. This role plays a key leadership function by supporting safety staff, guiding workload delegation, mentoring team members, and promoting a strong safety culture.
The Safety Team Lead works closely with field employees, management, customers, and regulatory agencies to provide technical safety guidance, injury prevention support, and projectâ based safety leadership. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Partner with safety leadership to manage workload delegation and scheduling to ensure proper site coverage
Mentor, train, and support safety team members; perform quality control reviews of staff work
Lead safety project planning and resource management with field and project management teams
Facilitate safety training (inâ person, virtual, and eâ learning) in collaboration with the Training Department
Train field leadership on safety responsibilities, hazard identification, and program compliance
Build strong internal relationships to drive engagement and strengthen safety culture
Prepare for and respond to natural disasters, including evacuation planning and drills
Maintain external relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
Assist with injury management, including documentation, followâ ups, communication, and returnâ toâ work coordination
Develop, review, and communicate siteâ specific safety plans and ensure field compliance
Respond to safety incidents, providing onâ site support and consultation
Conduct incident investigations, documentation, and corrective action development
Manage internal and external safety inspections, audits, and hazard analyses
Identify hazards, recommend controls, and ensure prompt correction of unsafe conditions
Support selection of safety equipment, PPE, and signage
Provide technical expertise on safety management and regulatory compliance
Liaise with OSHA and other authorities during inspections and followâ up activities
Support work stoppages (â pause workâ ) and lead safety mitigation discussions
Conduct research and safety data analysis to support management decisionâ making
Perform additional duties as assigned Position Requirements Working knowledge of safety and environmental principles and practices
Familiarity with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
Experience supporting construction or maintenance operations
Ability to identify safety exposures and recommend corrective actions
Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Professional verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Analytical thinking and sound judgment
Ability to work in a fastâ paced, nonâ structured environment and reprioritize as needed
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Apple applications, and collaboration tools Education & Experience Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, maintenance, safety, or operations
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience with responsibility for directing or mentoring others
Bachelorâ s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Experience in mechanical contracting or commercial/industrial construction strongly preferred Required Certifications & Licenses CHST or CSP certification required
Valid driverâ s license meeting company requirements Additional Information Fully onâ site position in Reno, NV
