1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 5:00pmJob DescriptionAn Inventory Specialist should bring unwavering professionalism, meticulous accuracy, and exceptional math and observation skills to the position. Inventory specialists can expect to work closely with management, develop and improve existing procedures and policies, and prevent losses. Other responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, compiling balance, price, and cost reports, and conducting regular counts of all products.Key ResponsibilitiesA successful candidate must be able to:Track incoming and outgoing products and updating the database accordingly.Maintain count accuracy (digital and physical counting).Inspect and define disposition guidelines of returned products to be re-entered into inventory Coordinate customer credit, refund and return process as it pertains to inventory reconciliation, communicating cross-functionally, and auditing financial impacts.Audit the accuracy of product dimensions and weights captured in the current database.Oversee presale inventory allocation and update the sales team with new product information.Develop loss mitigation strategies, processes, and protocols.Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations, and stock levels.Provide low inventory and slow-moving inventory analysis; forecast future inventory requirements and drive visibility of available products based on defined criteria.Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed.All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.A Successful Candidate Will DemonstrateThe ability to evaluate daily "How do we do it better?"Critical-thinking skills to establish action plans and routinely assess their effectivenessOrganizational skills to manage multiple moving pieces, departments, customers, and ordersLeadership and problem-solving skills to anticipate problems before they happen and handle them appropriately when they doInspect and define disposition guidelines for returned products to be re-entered into the inventoryQualificationsExperience in inventory management or a similar role.Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Firm grasp of basic computer programs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in mathematical and statistical methodsDetail-oriented with a focus on mathematical accuracy.Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics.)Ability to complete tasks on a deadline.Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Inventory Management experience a plus.Physical RequirementsThis position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 50+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, and other physical activities.
