Job Overview A Plant Cylinder Inventory Coordinator at Airgas (Sparks, NV) will manage the accuracy of full/empty cylinder inventory, raw liquids, and maintain database records in SAP, ensuring adequate supplies and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Responsibilities Accurately maintain inventory of cylinders and raw liquids, balancing levels to meet demand without excess stock.Verify part numbers and cylinder specifications; update database regularly.Separate empties from full and in-use cylinders; count in and receive incoming cylinders.Collaborate with Distribution Supervisor to verify trip loads for delivery drivers.Maintain database with tickets, production data, cylinder movements, and raw material receipts in SAP daily.Place and process orders in AirGas.com/SAP system; document gas inventory usage.Ensure compliance with facility guidelines, procedures, and Airgas Standards and regulatory guidelines (SAFECOR, HS&E, CGMP, OSHA).Provide support during emergencies to maintain uninterrupted product supply.Conduct scheduled cylinder audits and inventory counts of empty cylinders.Monitor and receive cylinder gas deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation.Build alignment with inside sales team and plants to meet customer service requirements.Assist with reasonable work requests aligned with qualifications.Qualifications Two to five years of related experience or equivalent education/experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service, or inventory control.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience with SAP or similar software systems preferred.Intermediate computer skills; experience with Google Products (Gmail, Sheets) recommended.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Well organized, creative problem solving, strong service orientation.Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence and work independently and in a team.Physical ability to lift 50lb.Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.Pay and Benefits Hourly base pay range: $23.00–$26.00 per hour.
