Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Material Handler (2nd Shift) - Packaging at our Reno, NV facility! The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 + $0.50 shift differential per hour. The core hours are 2:30p.m. to 11:00p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.Benefits Health benefits effective day one of employment.Retirement benefitsPaid Parental LeaveEducational Assistance ProgramWellness Reimbursement, and moreWhat you'll do Operate a forklift to move raw materials, components, supplies & finished goods.Load and unload trailers as required.Pick and pull stock for delivery.Organize pallet area in the backyard on a regular basis.Organize material storage location in backyard and inside the building on a regular basis.Complete forklift inspection on a daily basis.Primary owner for recycling duties for assigned area (emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler on a daily basis, operating cardboard baler, etc.).Ability to work overtime with little to no notice as necessary for customer requirements.Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.Qualifications Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position (including CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H‑1B, etc.).No relocation benefit is offered for this position; only candidates residing within 50miles of Reno, NV will be considered.A minimum 6 months of previous forklift experience or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.Must possess a valid and current driver's license.Physical Requirements Able to stand on feet continuously during the working shift.Able to regularly lift 35pounds with or without reasonable assistance; occasionally lift more than 35lbs. with or without reasonable assistance.Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.Position Success Criteria Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
