The Soft Count Clerk assists the team with the early morning drop of the slot machine. Upon completion the remainder of the day is spent counting, sorting, strapping, bundling, and recording the various counts. The Soft Count Clerk will handle large volumes of cash using currency counters and computer work stations.
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Basic knowledge of ten key operation.
Attention to detail and tolerance for repetitive work.
Must be team oriented.
Ability to be highly regulated and under constant observation.
Ability of simple writing and complex reading, math, and task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: coordination, precision working, following instructions, memorization, problem solving, and independent judgement.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
High School Degree/GED is required or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Previous experience in other count rooms is preferred.
Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, balancing and occasionally sitting during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull 10lbs or less frequently and 75lbs or less occasionally.
The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet and hands and require constant light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others for extended shifts around computer equipment and electrical devices.
Team member may be exposed to slippery surfaces and moving objects.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Team Member may be exposed to dirt/dust, fumes/odor, and/or secondhand smoke.
