It is only with a dedicated staff we are able to meet and exceed our customers expectations by picking, packing and shipping approximately 1.2 million books daily to customers around the world.Job DescriptionWe have an immediate opening for a Material Handler on our 2nd shift. ($19.35/hr.)Monday - Friday (10:30am - 6:30pm)QualificationsPosition ResponsibilitesPalletize cartons and prepare cartons to ship.Maintain a safe and clean work area.Perform product movement or other special work as requested by supervisor.May also be expected to:Pick orders and pack books into designated cartons.Assemble/disassemble all needed materials for prepacks and assortments.Wrap small orders, apply proper postage and labels, tape packages and take to shippingWeigh apply postage to all publicity mailings and route directly to shipping.When necessary, change price of books either by machine or manually, operate various equipment, such as tape and price stickering machine.Fill completed cartons with bubble wrap in final pack.Must show initiative to work with little direct supervision.Must be able to read, write and perform simple math.Must be able to regularly lift cartons up to 35 pounds, up to 50 pounds occasionally.Must be able to lift, move and handle empty pallets.Additional InformationPenguin Random House, LLC offers a competitive salary, generous paid time off programs to support a healthy work/life balance anda richbenefits package to include:medical, vision, dental, disability, life insurance, dependent life insurance and 401kfor which you areeligible your first day.Vacation – Less than a year – 10 days, 1 year but less than 2 – 15 daysPersonal Time - 4 DaysSick Time – 5 DaysParental Leave – 12 WeeksAnnual Wellness Reimbursement - $500.0013 Paid Holidays a YearBackground Screening is part of the employee processDisclosure requirements pertaining to the collection of your personal data:Responsible for processing the information provided in your application is the company specified in the job advertisement, with its registered office as indicated.
