Job Summary The Shipping Associate consolidates customer orders and prepares them for shipping by specific carrier.Key Responsibilities Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goalsFills customer orders according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)Stacks boxes on pallets for truck loading, ensuring pallets are stretch‑wrapped correctlyUses computer hardware and software to generate shipping labelsMaintains and organizes adequate shipping suppliesEnsures the shipping area is organized, clean, and compliant with all regulationsApplies appropriate labeling for certain shipments of federally regulated productsCompensation $20.00 per hourSchedule Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with possible overtimeSupervision This position is frequently supervised by the Shipping / Inbound Supervisor.Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Skills Required SafetyTime managementWillingness to learn to use computerized scanning devicesPhysical Demands This position requires standing 80% of the day, light lifting (up to 50 lbs.) for 20% of the day, frequent heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more) 20% of the day, and stooping for 10% of the day.#J-18808-Ljbffr
