Shipping SpecialistAs a Shipping Specialist, you will be integral in getting products for our customers on time. In conjunction with preparing shipping documents and scheduling outbound shipments for customers, you will compute freight costs and document inventory to guarantee every package reaches its destination.Key Responsibilities:Be responsible for creating shipping documents, scheduling trucks (LTL, FTL, and parcel packages), and confirming shipments through our logistics programsAssign order's outbound shipment methods based on price, service, and timingCommunicate daily with Manager on order status, shipping status, and any issues pendingCompare identifying information such as weighs, counts, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing lists, or other recordsWork alongside a team to ensure that the company's promise to our customers is always keptAll other duties assigned.Required Skills and Attributes:Proven experience as a shipping specialist or in a similar role in logisticsStrong understanding of shipping processes, carrier management, and international trade.Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrates sound decision-making.Superior organizational and documentation skillsQualifications:Preferred Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fieldsUPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping experiencePhysical Requirements:This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 50+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, and other physical activities.
