Vitality Wellness Therapeutic Clinic is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote position allows you to contribute to the healing journey of clients who have experienced trauma, focusing on creating tailored treatment plans and utilizing evidence-based therapies in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's unique trauma history and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of patients, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a warm atmosphere where patients can explore their feelings, develop coping mechanisms, and promote healing.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care that meets the comprehensive needs of our clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and personal support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating strong responsiveness and care for our patients.
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and available resources, helping them navigate their healing journey.
• Maintain precise and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing an electronic health record (EHR) system for documentation.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a collective effort focused on trauma-informed practices.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in trauma therapy through professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Vitality Wellness Therapeutic Clinic, you will work with a diverse range of clients, primarily focusing on adults who have experienced trauma. Many of our patients present with conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding these individuals toward recovery, helping them understand their experiences and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.
• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with trauma-affected populations.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatments.
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients.
• A calm demeanor in high-stress situations, demonstrating confidence while supporting clients in their recovery.
• Proficient in the use of EHR systems and other relevant technology.
• Collaborative mindset, committed to working autonomously while integrating with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of post-licensure experience are required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-focused therapies, particularly EMDR or TF-CBT, may be preferred. Familiarity with community resources for trauma survivors and experience in group therapeutic settings can also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Vitality Wellness Therapeutic Clinic offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include:
