Performs clerical and administrative support functions for the Finance Department. Responsibilities include but not limited to, preparing, processing, and posting of biweekly payroll for various Job Corps Center locations and backup for Corporate payroll. Responsibility to work with payroll service provider to resolve payroll issues. Ensure employee set-up is accurate and complete, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time.
Provide backup for weekly and off-cycle payrolls.
Provide Payroll support to Job Corps Centers as needed.
Responsible for weekly 401k/SSP Reporting.
Support daily cash management processes through collections, direct deposits and positive pay.
Responsible for scheduling payroll tax payments as needed.
Process wage attachments weekly.
Prepare and submit reports as related to payroll, taxes and other required reporting.
Prepare monthly journal entries for entry in the computerized accounting system.
Provide support for month-, quarter- and year-end processing.
Prepare monthly account and/or bank reconciliations as assigned.
Provide support with Accounts Payable functions and serves as backup.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience in multi-state payroll preparation, accounts payable or accounting environment required.
Experience with Ulti-Pro computerized payroll system and Microsoft Dynamics SL accounting system a plus.
Computer literate with spreadsheet proficiency, preference for experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and writing skills.
Associate s Degree in Human Resource, Accounting or related field preferred.
