$44.49 - $55.56/hour; $7,711.60 - $9,630.40/month; $92,539.20 - $115,564.80/year
To participate at the Junior level, the Assistant level, or both levels, you must complete and submit separate applications for each recruitment:
*Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium: Salary plus up to an additional $1,000 per month Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium for employees who are permanently assigned to a position located in the North Lake Tahoe Area.
These continuous recruitments will remain open for the calendar year, or until the final filing date, whichever occurs first. The eligible lists established from these continuous recruitments will expire by the end of the calendar year. Applicants will be eligible to reapply and take an examination if new recruitments open the following calendar year.
Applications will be screened on a bi-weekly basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
In order to qualify for these recruitments, the educational requirement must be met by date of appointment. If you are in your final semester, or if you have relevant equivalent experience to substitute for the educational requirement, please apply.
Engineer – Junior
Experience: No professional experience is required.
Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field or possession of a California Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate.
Required License or Certificate:
May need to possess a valid driver`s license as required by the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
Engineer – Assistant
Experience: Two years of responsible professional engineering experience performing duties similar to a Junior Engineer with Placer County.
Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
