Reno Staffing is looking for a project manager of job cost for a construction company located in the USA Parkway!

This is a temp to hire opportunity providing excellent benefits upon hire. The right candidate will be ready to make a difference and take this role head on! 

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Salary: $75000-$90000 
Location: Sparks, NV 89434 - Own transportation required. Some traveling is required as client has multiple locations.

Summary:  

The Project Manager of Job Cost position provides crucial support to the Group Executive and the
Project Management team, ensuring smooth operations and efficient project execution. This role
requires personal drive, initiative, resourcefulness, professionalism, and integrity. The position
requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of finance, and excellent organizational and
communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain and update job cost records for multiple projects
• Track labor, materials, subcontractor, and overhead costs against budgets
• Ensure all project costs are accurately coded and allocated
• Monitor job profitability and flag cost overruns or variances
• Compare actual costs vs. budgeted/estimated costs
• Prepare and analyze job cost reports
• Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
• Assist project managers with cost forecasting and projections
• Reconcile job cost accounts with the Contract Status Reports and PCO Log
• Oversee the Project Potential Change Order (PCO) process within Project Sight, ensuring
  accurate reconciliation of the PCO log with the accounting software.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards
• Support internal/external audits
• Verify that costs are recorded in the correct accounting period

• Assist with monthly Billings with Project PM`s
• Maintain detailed project cost documentation and audit trails
• Provide support to project teams as needed to manage day-to-day construction operations
• Work closely with the following if needed:
  o Project managers
  o Corporate Accounting
  o Procurement teams
  o Vendors and subcontractors
   
• Maintain a high level of organization in document management and control.
• Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive
  environment.
• Provide administrative support as needed to ensure efficient office operations
