The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Nurse Manager is an experienced Registered Nurse who is responsible for providing a safe and efficient environment for the patient during the pre-, intra- and post-operative phases of the stay. Responsible for supervising and overseeing the clinical aspect for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. In addition to clinical oversight of these areas, oversees all administrative issues, concerns, and communications; facilitates problem solving and personnel issues. Has 24-hour accountability for the management of personnel, including receiving and covering sick calls for the ASC during weekday hours.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Graduation from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or equivalent accredited school of nursing. The nurse shall have completed a nursing education program that included clinical experiences with actual patients under the supervision of qualified faculty.
3 year minimum of previous critical care or surgical services experience required. Previous supervisory experience required. Previous Ambulatory Surgery Center experience required. The ability to scrub is a plus.
Required: Current California RN licensure. Current ACLS, PALS, and CPR certifications.
Preferred: Membership in ASPAN, AORN, and CNOR desirable.
